bam.li is a real-time country clicker mashed with a king-of-the-hill throne battle. Every tap counts for your country in the weekly leaderboard. Quickstart BAM Brawl Throne BAMs Shop Strategy FAQ

⚡ Quickstart

Three things to do in your first minute.

1

Tap the BAM button

Every tap counts for your country. Your country is auto-detected.

2

Steal the throne

Go to /throne, enter a name + short message, take it. You hold it until someone else does.

3

Watch the feed

The live feed on the home page shows every throne flip and BAM burst as it happens.

💥 BAM Brawl — the country tap battle

The home page hosts the BAM Brawl — bam.li's country-vs-country tap battle. You tap the big yellow BAM button as fast as you can. Every single tap is one BAM credited to your country. Your country is auto-detected the first time you visit, and you can see your country's flag, name and current weekly rank above the button.

The mechanic sits in the same family as Cookie Clicker, Universal Paperclips and King of the Hill clickers — but without idle generation or upgrades. There's no grind. Just tap. Every tap shows up live in the global feed under "Live · the feed", and your country's bar climbs the weekly top-50 leaderboard while you watch.

How taps are counted

One tap = +1 BAM, no exceptions. There's no multiplier from holding the button down — discrete taps only. Mobile players usually out-pace desktop because thumb-tapping is faster than mouse-clicking. The fastest tappers hit roughly 8–10 taps per second sustained.

Combo tiers

Sustained taps within a short window stack into a combo tier — visible as a coloured halo on the +1 popups. Higher tiers paint bigger numbers and produce more dramatic visual feedback, but they don't multiply BAMs earned. The combo system is a feel-good amplifier, not a scoring trick.

Daily, weekly, lifetime — three counters

The globe + heatmap

The 3D globe on the home page shows live activity by country. Brighter halos mean recent BAM bursts; the heatmap colours each country by weekly rank. A country in the top 12 glows yellow, top 25 glows orange, the rest stay muted. You can rotate the globe with mouse / touch.

👑 Steal the Throne — the king-of-the-hill mechanic

The throne is bam.li's king-of-the-hill layer. One player holds the throne at any time. Stealing it puts your name and a short message at the top of every page — visible to every visitor — until someone else steals it from you. There's no end-state; the throne flips constantly.

Visit /throne. Enter a name (up to 14 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, underscores, hyphens, @-handles), a 30-character message, and tap TAKE IT. You're now the king. Your reign starts immediately.

Throne lockout (15 seconds)

The moment you take the throne, a 15-second lockout kicks in — no one can steal it from you during that window. It's a grace period for the new king. The countdown is visible to everyone, ticking down on the throne page.

Once the lockout expires, the throne is fair game again. Anyone can tap TAKE IT and become the new holder. Most reigns are short — under a minute — because the page sees high traffic at peak hours.

Reign length and the Hall of Fame

Your reign duration is recorded the moment you lose the throne. Every reign is stored permanently in the throne archive at /history — paginated and searchable by country, sort, time range, and name.

Family-safe word filter

Throne messages go through a profanity filter. If your message gets rejected with "try a kinder word", drop strong language or slurs and try again. The filter is tuned for false-positives — innocent phrases shouldn't be blocked.

Live updates everywhere

Every throne flip fires a red-glow toast sitewide — anyone playing sees who stole the throne, what they wrote, and which country they tapped from. The live feed on the home page also records every steal as a "throne" event, filterable by tab.

🪙 BAMs Explained — the currency

BAMs are bam.li's in-game currency. You earn them by tapping — 1 tap = 1 BAM, no multiplier. You spend them in the shop on shields, invades and cosmetics. There's no way to buy BAMs with real money; the only way to earn them is to play.

Lifetime vs. spendable balance

BAMs are tracked in two numbers — your lifetime total (everything you've ever tapped) and your spent total (everything you've bought). Your spendable balance = lifetime − spent, and this is what the shop checks against.

Example: 50,000 lifetime − 8,500 spent = 41,500 spendable.

How fast you earn

A typical session lands 500–2,000 BAMs in 5 minutes of focused tapping. Combo tiers don't multiply earnings — they're cosmetic. Earning is purely tap-rate × time. To buy a single shield (1,000 BAMs) you need roughly 2 minutes of solid tapping. To max your daily invade ceiling (15,000 BAMs) you need ~40 minutes of tapping.

❓ FAQ

What is bam.li?
bam.li is a free, real-time, browser-based country clicker game. You tap a button as fast as you can, your taps count for your country in a weekly leaderboard, and a separate king-of-the-hill mechanic lets one player at a time hold the "throne" with a custom name and message. There's also a BAMs shop with shields and country invades.
Is bam.li free to play?
Yes, 100% free. There's no real-money currency, no microtransactions, no ads inside the gameplay loop. You earn BAMs by tapping and spend them on in-game items. Banner ads from AdSense appear in non-gameplay slots.
Can I change my country?
Your country is auto-detected from your connection. If you want to play from a different region, use a VPN — but be aware that mid-session country swaps can temporarily lock you out.
Why did my throne message get rejected?
There's a family-safe word filter. If "try a kinder word" pops up, drop strong language, slurs, or sexual references and try again. The filter is tuned for low false-positives — innocent phrases shouldn't be blocked.
How long does my throne reign last?
Until someone steals it. After a steal, the new king gets a 15-second grace period (lockout) where nobody can take the throne yet. Once that expires, the throne is fair game. Most reigns last 30 seconds to 2 minutes at peak hours; off-peak you can hold for tens of minutes.
What happens to my BAMs at week-end?
Weekly leaderboard counts reset every Monday 00:00 UTC. Your lifetime BAMs (your spending balance) never reset. Only positional weekly counts reset — your wallet stays intact across weeks.
Can any country be invaded?
Almost. The only exception is countries under 5,000 weekly are auto-shielded — that protects new and small countries from being bullied. Everyone else, including the leader, is fair game. The top of the leaderboard is the whole point. Defending countries need to buy shields (1,000 BAMs / hour) to block incoming invades.
What does a shield actually do?
A shield blocks all incoming invades on the target country for 1 hour. While a shield is active, that country's weekly count cannot be drained. The shield runs for exactly 60 minutes from purchase and then expires automatically.
What's the 2× rally bonus?
When a country gets invaded, every player on that country gets a 2× BAM bonus for 60 seconds — the rally. It's a defensive comeback mechanic: invaders try to drain, defenders BAM twice as hard for a minute to recover.
Can I get a refund on a shield or invade?
No. Purchases are final the moment you confirm them. Use them strategically.
Does bam.li work on mobile?
Yes — bam.li is designed mobile-first. The tap button is huge and tuned for thumb tapping. Most top-ranked players play on mobile because thumb-tap rate beats mouse-click rate.
Can I share my profile?
Yes — your profile page is shareable. It shows your lifetime BAMs, badges earned, longest throne reigns and country contribution percentage.
What other clicker games is bam.li like?
It sits in the same family as Cookie Clicker, Universal Paperclips, Capybara Clicker and other tap-battle games — but with a real-time multiplayer twist and a king-of-the-hill throne mechanic on top. There's no idle generation, no upgrades, no grind. Just real-time country-vs-country tapping.
